Virtual field trip I – Non-native trees in Turin Province, Italy

The field trip takes you to the Val di Susa (Susa Valley), a valley in Piedmont region, North-West of Italy. The LAMORO Development Agency conducted there a pilot action, with the aim of informing and sharing the knowledge on non-native trees. The sites as located in the municipalities of Almese and Caselette and the Natura 2000 site “IT1110081- Monte Musinè e Laghi di Caselette” (Monte Musinè and Caselette Lakes), a natural area of Piedmont recognized as a Site of Community Importance. The pilot action focused on the inclusion of non-native tree species (NNT) in forest management planning and intends to find an important reference in the programming documents in force or in the process of being approved in the reference area.
